If it's not because of the crazy damn video driver ill behaving on my home desktop, I probably won't jump the gun and install Windows 7 on my home desktop while I was sleeping last night. Sure I kept saying that I wanted to do that for months, but all the things that I have to do daily keep me from doing it ... until last night, when almost everything I did ended up crashing the machine. That's the time I realized that enough is enough. But since I was extremely sleepy last night, so I simply popped in the Windows 7 Beta DVD, started it, and then I went to bed.
So when I woke up this morning, I gladly found that Windows 7 already installed on my machine, and ready to use. And because of my grave of using portable software and had them set up ready to use all these days, I can instantly start getting productive by running these portable applications, such as Portable Firefox, portable Pidgin, Disk Catalog, uTorrent, and so on.
The desktop is also so much more quite now without those stupid graphic card applications running at the background. The desktop is also so much clean. Everything is so nice that I don't even wanted to install anything on the top to pollute the clarity of everything.
Video can be view instantly without installing anything. Awesome.
The out of the box experience for Windows 7 is definitely so much better than that another previous Windows OS which shall remain nameless, forever.
