As someone who types a lot, it's a painful experience for me to type on the iPad screen keyboard for hours. I have at 2 bluetooth keyboards and I can carry them carry with me, but then I have to carry this extra load, and that irritates me. Finally I couldn't stand it and decided to get a keyboard for my iPad 2 (and my New iPad), and decided to give Logitech Keyboard Case for iPad 2 a try.
The keyboard arrived this morning and I instantly tried it by writing this blog. The keyboard doesn't an OK job, but not as great as I expected. The keys are definitely smaller than a regular keyboard, and the keystroke feel seems slightly flimsier than the feeling on typing on my Dell office laptop (M6500). Nevertheless, it's an improvement comparing with typing on the softkeyboard.
There's another interesting thing about this keyboard: you can charge your iPad while you use the keyboard. It's actually not a particularly feature build into the keyboard. It's simply the fact that the keyboard is connected to the iPad using bluetooth, and thus you can freely place your iPad at the tray in whatever way you want. Such flexibility is actually why I love this keyboard. This is, in fact, the first iPad stand I have that is portrait mode friendly.
The keyboard takes no time to charge. Less than one hour of charging time, and I got my keyboard fully charged. The keyboard charging cable is the same kind of cable that my Android phone use to charge and sync data. That means if I lost the cable, I can get a new one dirt cheap.
So over all I like the keyboard. For US$47 I paid for it, I think it's a price good purchase.
