Do not reply on free WiFi in Japan

If you plan on going to Japan, and think that you can survive with free WiFi services because you did your research and was told that there's several of those services available, THINK TWICE!  I tried 3 of them, and my personal experience told me that these free WiFi hotspots services only available within very limited area, and usually not available when you really need to search Google Map or use Google Translate to find Japanese translation of "sorry, but is this shirt for man or for woman?".

Conclusion: get your prepaid data SIM card or get a Personal WiFi at airport.  I know that 6800 Yen for 3Gb of data seemed expansive at time, but this is an essential investment.

Also, don't be fooled by those Japan tour guide blog or web sites:  NOBODY (at least within Tokyo region) says "Itadakimasu" while they are dining at restaurants or in front of food truck.  Saying that (or worst, say that loudly) in public only tells everyone around you that you are a foreigner, and your view about the world is determined by Lonely Planet traveling guide.
