After being in Taipei for 3 days, I realised that this is a great place to shop ... for girl stuff. Sure, you can accomplish the same thing at Kwai Fong, Mong Kok, Causeway Bay and so on in Hong Kong, and I bet the price should be pretty much the same, but you'll probably find some unique items here and there, particularly at the Night Market(s).
