Awesome bands
There are bands that you didn't find that attractive at the first place, but the more you hear, the more you realized that: damn they are pretty awesome. The White Stripe is one of the example, and then there's Muse. Unlike those who cater their hits to radio friendly format, you gotta listen to the whole album from White Stripe and Muse to appreciate them.

I am Anthony Wong
I never dreamed about being a pop star before, so even I was shocked that a while ago I woke up from a dream while I was dreamed about being the Hong Kong pop start Anthony Wong. However, the dream was more complicated than you thought.
In the beginning, I went to the concert hall knowing that I was late, and then I was kept looking around for a certain kind of wood block instrument. I asked Alice (yeah, she's in the dream, being my stage assistance) whether the wood block would sound good, and she told me yes, and told me that later she would use that on stage too. (What? She's a pop singer too? What's good on?)
And then I went on stage to join my partner Tats Lau (as in the pop group Tat Ming Pair). Lau already started singing, and the audience obviously loved him much more than I did, made me feel like inferior and unimportant. I joined and singed regardless.
A song was done (which I didn't remember what it was), and we went to backstage. I chatted with Lau about what song we would do next, and he replied. Somehow, though, I felt like the conflict between us were still strong and our conversation were like business kind instead of talking among friends or being partners. (Interesting, it seems like my brain had a great sense of humor and irony :-E) That made me sad.
At the end of the dream, we were ready to get out on stage to sing another song, and I suddenly went panic cause I was starting to forget the lyrics of the song (again, ironically, I also forgot what song that was now). We chatted with the stage staff members, joked around a bit, and got ready to walk up to stage. And that was how my dream ended.
I think I had that dream partly because I was practicing for playing drum set for Sunday service last night. And being sort of a fan of Anthony Wong, and being a sensitive person who who hurt easily when I aware that there's a bad relationship with someone somehow, the dream sort of being a metaphor in multiple level, sum up my sorrow on my personal life.
It's always fascinating how dream works.

Guilt
I still haven't gotten through the feeling of guilt when waking up later during weekend. So so again I feel a bit uneasy this morning waking up at 9:30 a.m. Plus I knew I woke up once at around 7:30 a.m., but the bed was just so sweet.
Anyway, to penalize myself, I started watching 3D Studio Max trainning video :-E.

Another strange series of dreams I had last night
My friend Kok was the main character in my dream this time. He became a captain of some big ship (or something like that) and he brought me to sail around. I asked stupid questions like "so you can only turn left all the time?". I also recalled that he had some assistants, something liek that. At the end we went to an island and dining at a Chinese restaurant.
I also dreamed a little bit about the US TV show "The Office". Nothing interesting, just the scenes in the office.
And then I woke up. Friday with day off. Awesome. Except that there's some construction going on at the parking lot so I am stuck at home until 5:00 p.m. No big deal, for I planned to do so anyway.

No one Flash animation hosting?
I used to use Google page to host flash video. But this morning I found out that the hosting link was broken. I got a message saying something like I violated the terms of service and such. I was like, what the ****. Great that I always have a static JPEG message as plan B.

Twitter, unusable
Twitter reaches the stage of being usable these days. Oh so often when I go to the site, it's under some sort of "over capacity" error message. Guess it's time to move on and use other service.

Introducing .... errr ....
I was at church this morning and we announced a few new members. Pastor introduced them one by one with footnotes about how they contributed to the church. Then I was wonder, what if someone really didn't do much of anything and then join the church as a member. What will the pastor say?
"Daniel Kwan is ...errr ... he's a fine decent person and ... he doesn't act out what he thinks so it's good ... he didn't kill any people ... so far .... when he's not doing horrible deeds he's a pretty good person."
That would be awesome.

Apply for QQ
Well, to do business online with stores at mainland China, you need to use QQ. So I was trying to apply an account, and found that the start page for applying an account was not as obvious as it should be. Eventually I applied an account, and got QQ working with the lastest Portable Pidgin 2.4.2.
Speaking of setting the QQ up, it was kind of a headache at first. Somehow it didn't work with my older version of Portable Pidgin. There was at one point that I even had to turn off my firewall to test, as even the authentic QQ English application failed to run properly.
I am so glad that eventually it's working now.

Hong Kong postal code
I didn't realize that Hong Kong actually has a postal code until I need to buy something from Taobao.com. Then I found that based on Baidu, Hong Kong's postal code is 999077. It's been verified in other source. So there you have it.
Almost forgot how to copy DVD movie to harddisk
I haven't been copying or ripping movie to harddisk for a long long time. So when I need to do that a while ago, I was totally clueless for a short while. It's MovieISO. Come on. Note to self. MovieISO.

I wonder if she speaks fluent English ....
My roommate's mother came to United States to visit her son, and stayed at the townhouse we living in. A while ago I woke up from a 3 hour sleep (yeah somehow I had an urge to sleep for a while) and chatted with her while she walked by and gave me souvenirs . She came from Singapore, and so she probably speaks fluent English. Yet since she started talking to me in Mandarin, so I naturally responded to her with Mandarin.
It must be ultra painful for her to understand my broken Mandarin, but we still managed to chat for 10 to 15 minutes.
The main thing she said: walk around after using computer for an hour, and drink a lot of water.
OK.

Hair cut day
I had a haircut today, and I feel good.
I am always in good mood after I had a haircut. The feeling of being tidy, clean always makes me happy.

I am feeling pretty upset to myself that I stay at work til 7:45 pm to finish stuff. Thus I missed my ballet class today.
Now I start to feel like I just wanna goof off the rest of today.
