I spent/wasted almost 4 hours on a video game called GTA: San Andreas. Now I totally understand why people are into the game. Honestly if I was not so stuggling to get to the save spot, I won't spend that many hours on the game. It turns out that I have to finish the bicycle mission in order to get to the first save. And at first I was so lame on the riding bicycle. That's why I stuck for so long.
On a different note, I found out that the juggling effect on Super Nintendo emulator was because of the VSync. Turn that on and the screen moved smoothly. Cool.
P.S. Still couldn't get ePSX working on my machine. Oh well.

Lies
Last night I started hearing another audio book about lies in American History. the author is a Harvard PhD, and he did research on history, and HOW HISTORY WAS BEING TAUGHT and found a lot of lies (lies mainly by the one in power, aka European people).
The main thing is not just hearing the ugly past, but the technique of twisting history. I can see the same shit technique used in Japan, in China, in Russian in all around the way.
So I highly recommend it, mostly as a way to learn more tools to exam and question history, and prevent ourselves from being screwed up by lies. Also see how we are being manipulated, and how to avoid it.
It has the same kind of power as reading Pack Yeung's "Ugly Chinese". Don't just read the surface. Read the message behind.
The book is called "Rethinking our past" by Loewen, James
I was getting a bit tired on just listening to tech podcast, and think I need something on the social science side ... history, economy ,..... to balance my diet.
(9:28:59 AM) Daniel Kwan: That and also now that I start reading business week I find social science more interesting.

Crazy Sh*t
I am pretty sure that my friend has some pretty crazy shit in his computer. Otherwise he will keep bugging me to fix his computer. He's such a self-absorbed person and so interest in taking advantage of the others. And yet after encountering computer breakdown time after time after time, and even with me volunteering time to check up his computer.
He's also enjoying poking fun on others weakness, especially those who uphold sexual morality, calling them hypocrite. That seem very much his self-defense machanism of his desire of getting girls.
On the top of all that, he seems to be online at night a lot of time, and every once in a while his instant messenger will send out some spam messages, thus makes me concluded that he got some spywares somehow. One possibility is having the machine infected when visiting some nasty content sites.

Joker the terrorist
Joker in the latest Batman movie Dark Knight is the ultimate terrorist. He's smart, self-righterous and crazy. He's motivated by madness of the world, using his deed to magnify the irony and tension in this world. You can still ways to stop a criminal who is motivated by money. But if someone is motivated by madness belief, then there's much less chance to redirect him to other non-destructive behavior because the madness deed itself is his motive..

Still not good at Wii Tennis
After wasting a lot of time, I am still not too good at Wii Tennis. Forget it. Let me focus on Wii Bowling.

Hair cut yesterday
I had my hair cut yesterday. By reviewing my blog, I found out that I pretty much have haircut every once 2 months. That's normal, right? >:-F
The thing that is not acting normal is definitely my classic Playstation. The CD reader seems to have problem reading disc. If it eventually dies, I may need to use emulator to play my Playstation games.

My weekend was spent mostly on trying to finish the graphic assignment that needed to be completely this weekend. Seems like I was grossly underestimated the effort it takes to finish the job. As the result, I have to skip a gathering with some old friends. I have confirmed ia. but I keep having a feeling that I pissed off some people because of being absent at the last minute. For that I am sorry, and will continue to try to uphold mystrtegy of not promising to attend any gathering as must as possible ..
In fact, in this middle of Sunday service, I am feeling so sleepy right now. And very hungry too. I finally finished the work I need to finish, but the price was that I stayed up very late. And then the several pieces of music we did today were a bit challenging. For that I have to confess that I didn't spend time to practice them at home as I spent all my time on the graphic design stuff. In fact, I was so into getting the design done that I almost skip all my dining. Indeed I had all my lunch and dinner at home with TV dinner. And I can never be full if I that TV Dinner. Thus why I am so hungry now.
I also did poorly drumming this morning. I really overestimate my ability to perform while I am hungry and sleepy at the same time. The fact that my brain said one thing while my hands do another thing showed how much I overestimate myself. Even some familiar songs suddenly became hard to play. For this, I have only myself to blame.

Freedom of sleeping
I love sleeping, and I treasure the freedom of sleeping.
Freedom of sleeping is not given. Through out man's life, one has to fight for their right to sleep when they feel sleepy. When a man was a young boy his teacher will penalized him for sleeping the class on a hot and humid summer day. His parents will penalized them for sleeping during a boring interaction with some boring relatives. Once the boy grew up and became a man he will be penalized for taking a 10 minutes nap during lunch time because it shows his laziness in general. At home his wife will penalize him for sleeping instead taking her out for a social interaction with people the he can care less, or not staying awake enough when she is around, thus slowing that "he doesn't love his wife."
So next time when you get a chance to sleep freely and relaxingly, give thanks, for the freedom of sleeping is not given.
