Surreal

It feels very strange that everyone around me treat the Hurricane Ike like the end of the world. Even the people in the Houston recycle mailing list that I subscribed to started suggesting each other steps to take to prepare for the hurricane , like taking photos of their properties and such.

And then I have friends who talk about leave the city to avoid the hurricane.

............. I was like ... what?
